Badass Of The Day: Florida Teen Tackles Suspect With An Axe At Car Wash

According to WESH, a Florida teen, who's an employee at the car wash, helped take the suspect down and now he's being hailed a hero. WESH reports that the suspect was 36-year-old Bryce Thayer and video shows him wielding an ax in front of Tidal Wave Auto Spa in Ocala.

Thayer is accused of approaching employees as they were closing on a Sunday night. However, one of those employees was 18-year-old Leo Pino and he wasn't going to let the man get the best of them. Pino told the man to leave and things quickly escalated.

Surveillance video shows Pino tackling Thayer and trying to get control of the weapon. When Thayer wouldn't let go, Pino had to knock him out and kept him pinned on the ground until law enforcement arrived, per WESH.

Thayer was arrested and charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and 1 count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
