An old lady in Atlanta introduced a home invader to her gun that she calls "Sweet Jane." If you have a name for your gun, you probably know how to use it!

This is one bad ass old lady! I know I wouldn't want to mess with her. She performed better during a home invasion than I would! Sounds like she kept her cool and showed the guy who's boss. The incident happened in Garden Hills near Buckhead, an affluent neighborhood just north of Atlanta, Georgia. According to Atlanta News First, David and Mary Hubert have lived in their home for 20 years and never had any sort of problems with crime until this happened. Check out a video report shared by Atlanta News First on YouTube below.

Atlanta News First reports that 36-year-old Ramon Darden barged into the bottom floor of their home and threatened David. He was able to safely lock himself in a room to protect himself while Mary heard the chaos downstairs and grabbed her gun, that she calls "Sweet Jane" and hid. While safely in a locked room, David was able to call 911 but the stranger was still walking around the house. Their beagle, Bobby, slept through the whole thing, per Atlanta News First. Not the best guard dog!

They think the person got in using an unlocked door on the side of the garage. Always make sure to lock all of your doors--not just some of them! Darden was charged with burglary and criminal trespass. Neither David nor Mary (nor Bobby) were hurt during the incident.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
