A very popular wallaby was found roaming around after Colorado police respond to a report of an alleged kangaroo on the loose. It ended up just being Charlie The Wallaby who has quite the following on social media.

If you're an officer in Colorado, you probably never expect to receive a call regarding a kangaroo on the loose. It had to have been a surprising call when reports came in to these Colorado officers with the Doug County Sheriff's Office. It happened in a residential neighbor hood in Highland Ranch. See a video shared on Instagram here.

The video, which was shared by the Doug County Sheriff's Office on Instagram notes that everyone was safe and Charlie did make his way home. One officer even noted that this was going to be the highlight of their year. I can't see anything beating this.

For those wondering, wallabies are basically smaller kangaroos. They're both marsupials commonly found in Australia and are in the same Macropodidae family. However, they differ in size and habitat with kangaroos being larger. You can see Charlie The Wallaby's Instagram here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
