During our coverage of the Winter Olympics, we talked about a biathlete from Norway who confessed to cheating on his girlfriend. He did so right after winning a medal and during his press conference. Do you think the gesture will get him the girl? We don't.

According to NBC News, "In an emotional interview after he earned the bronze medal in the men’s 20 km. biathlon at the 2026 Milan Cortina Games on Tuesday, Sturla Holm Lægreid surprised audiences with an unprompted personal confession. Three months ago, he said, he cheated on “the love of [his] life, the most beautiful and kindest person.” “I told her a week ago. And it’s been the worst week of my life,” he told Norwegian Broadcasting Corp. (NRK). “I had a gold medal in life, and there’s probably a lot of people out there who look at me differently now, but I only have eyes for her. Sports has taken a bit of a back seat these past couple of days. Yeah, I wish I could share this with her.”"

So, even though he told her about the cheating a week ago, he wanted to make this gesture in hopes of getting her back. We don't think that was a good plan. We all agree that making this confession was a bad idea and there's no way it brings her back.

Telling the whole world that you're sorry for being inside someone else just doesn't seem like the smartest idea. We try to imagine if this was a woman doing it to a man and we know that we wouldn't handle it well!

Enjoy!
