An impressive Rose Parade float just set a world record. It's a very unique and specific world record--but it goes into the books nonetheless!

Sometimes, it can be incredibly challenging to set a world record. You can try and try but come up short. Other times, it can be rather easy and you aren't up against much competition. Now, I'm not saying this was a simple nor easy feat--I'm not! But it's incredibly specific. It's not just the largest parade float--that record belongs to a float in China that stretched a half-mile. Nor is it the heaviest parade float, that belongs to the Gnarly Crankin' K9 Wave Maker, per Yahoo! This record is for the world's largest animatronic fish! Specific? Yes! Cool? Still yes!

According to Yahoo!, the parade float is 34-feet-tall and is a mechanical seahorse. It was the centerpiece of the UPS Store float that won the Director Award at the Rose Parade this year. Yahoo! says it was designed by Charles T. Meier and engineered by project manager Kyle Amerine. It was roughly 55 feet long and 18 feet wide! That's enormous!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
