New Bedford Hosts Free Citywide New Year’s Eve Events With Live Music, Fireworks

New Bedford's City Celebrates New Year's Eve event features a lineup of live performances across multiple community venues.
Entertainment includes the Toe Jam Puppet Band at the New Bedford Whaling Museum from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., a dance party with DJ Gazelle at The Vault Performing Arts Center & Pub from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Cirque de Light fire spinning and dancing at Custom House Square from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the Buttonwood Brass Band at the 222 Union Restaurant and Bar inside the New Bedford Harbor Hotel from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Whaling National Historical Park Visitor Center will be open from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with artist-in-residence Alex Houston's work on display.
A fireworks display will take place at 8 p.m. over New Bedford Harbor and is best viewed from the bottom of Union Street.
Food Truck Lineup
Attendees can grab a bite to eat from a nearby restaurant or the food trucks in the YMCA and Carter's parking lots. Food and drinks will be available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Below are the food trucks confirmed by NewBedfordGuide.com:

Restrooms
Restrooms will be available at each entertainment venue in the community (see above), as well as portable restrooms at the City of New Bedford municipal parking lot at Union Street and Water Street.
