A rescue dog's reaction to her first Christmas tree is melting the internet's collective heart. How could you not get the feels?

There's a special place in my heart for rescue dogs. My dog, Farley, was a rescue and he had it rough before we found him and I think about it all the time. It's amazing to give a dog the chance to live the life they're meant to live. They all deserve to be happy and free. This rescue dog in Chicago just saw its very first Christmas tree light up and now its reaction has the internet in tears--in the best way possible. The rescue is a pit bull named Olive Jean and her owner, 41-year-old Jennifer Contraveos, shared the viral moment on social media. Check out the viral video for yourself below.

C'mon! How cute is that? Olive Jean is just staring at it in amazement. I love that. The video is now taking over social media and it's easy to see why.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
