Boston residents and visitors were treated to the sight of hundreds of synchronized, LED-lit drones illuminating Boston Common during the inaugural Holiday Drone Show on Saturday, Nov. 29.
Spectators gathered on Boston Common, where the drones launched from the corner of Boylston and Charles streets, during two performances held that evening.
According to a Boston.com report, the drone display will return to the Common twice every Saturday evening through Dec. 20.
Presented by Meet Boston in partnership with the City of Boston, the drone shows are the centerpiece of Boston's first “Frostival.” The season-long series of events aims to boost tourism and establish Boston as a premier winter attraction.
In addition to the drone show, Frostival events also include the Holiday Market at Snowport, the SoWa Winter Festival, and the Historic Holiday Stroll.
