A Russian fitness influencer has tragically passed away after eating 10k calories per day. He had a goal of gaining 55lbs in a short amount of time and his plan went horribly wrong.

Don't try to eat 10k calories per day. Let that be the lesson here. Granted, it would be really hard for people to do. That's a lot of food and a lot of calories! The Russian fitness influencer is Dmitry Nuyanzin and he wanted to show his followers that his weight loss solution was doable for pretty much anyone regardless of how big they are so he put on weight to show he could lose it. To reach his weight goal, he had to eat 10k calories per day and things went horribly wrong roughly a month into his eating challenge.

According to Oddity Central, Dmitry was eating a bag of chips in front of his followers when he started to feel discomfort and told friends he planned to go to the hospital but hours later he passed away in his sleep from heart failure. Despite him being in good overall shape, his extreme diet ended up taking a fatal toll on his life. His internal organs couldn't handle it.

Even athletes don't go over 5,000 calories per day so that shows you how extreme this diet was. Don't try this at home! Read more from Oddity Central here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
