Thanksgiving can be an incredibly stressful time. You've got family coming in from out of town and you never know what might get brought up and how far it might go. Especially if alcohol is involved which it typically is on Thanksgiving. Safe to say this incident went way too far. According to NBC Chicago, a 21-year-old Illinois man was arrested and charged with setting his house on fire after a family argument on Thanksgiving. The home reportedly filled with smoke and the house sustained major damage.

Douchebag Of The Day: Illinois Man Burns Down Family's House After Thanksgiving Fight
NBC Chicago reports that 21-year-old Erik J. Crump was antagonizing and arguing with family members in the home and upset members of the family. Officers were called to deescalate the situation and Crump, who lives in the home, agreed to keep to himself for the remainder of the evening.
However, officers were called back to the same address hours later with reports that the home was on fire. When firefighters arrived, they reported seeing a man with a knife standing on the side of the road who matched Crump's description. He then fled on foot. A perimeter was set-up and they took him into custody without incident shortly after.
Reports say Crump used an accelerant to set his room on fire which caused major damage. Thankfully, nobody was injured or killed in the incident. Crump was arrested and charged with arson and residential arson, per NBC Chicago.
