Japanese-Style ‘Floor Futons’ Are A New Bedroom Trend

Would you consider a Japanese-style Floor Futon as your new sleeping surface? It sounds like it's becoming new bedroom trend!

I've always thought it was interesting how some cultures don't use furniture and eat their meals sitting on the floor or on top of pillows on the ground. It seems different and cool. However, would I want it as the way I'd sleep? That's pretty important and I love my bed. However, some experts believe these comfy beds we love could be doing us harm and hurting our sleep instead of helping it. They say the floor might have many benefits compared to what we're used to and CNN dove into the matter.

The CNN article says that one mother chose to ghive it a try and while it was uncomfortable at first and took some getting used to she eventually learned that it had benefits and led to better sleep. See a video detailing the science behind it shared by CNN here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
