Would you be willing to watch comedians perform in a sauna? It's a different approach but it actually happened!

Typically, comedians perform on stage at a comedy club. The lights are dim and there's a certain look that you become used to. However, not every comedy show is like that. There's a recent show at the New York Comedy Festival that's going viral on social media and it's far from your ordinary set. The comedians performed in an actual sauna--bringing the heat. They say laughter is the best medicine and saunas are supposed to be good for your health and wellbeing...so, is this the healthiest comedy show of all-time?

Comedians Perform In A Sauna At New York Comedy Festival

Some big names performed in the sauna at the New York Comedy Festival including Mark Normand, Juan Nicolon, Sienna Hubert-Ross, and Gabe Rodriguez-Tossas. The show was hosted by Andrew Packer.

You don't hear about sets like this often but I think it's really cool. Sounds like the comedians tailored their sets for the occasion too. Normand even rocked a towel over his trunks! Juan did his set while sipping iced tea, per The New York Post.

Not only was there a show in the sauna but there was also a cold plunge room so you could cool off. This is really unique but I think it would be a cool experience to see a comedy show like this--especially if the comics are leaning into the bit. Have you ever seen anything like that?

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
