Edaville’s Holiday Festival of Lights Returns for 2025
For decades, Edaville has been a holiday staple for Massachusetts families, known for its twinkling lights and old-fashioned train rides.

The glow is back at Edaville this winter as the beloved Holiday Festival of Lights returns from November 28 through December 28, 2025, bringing a reimagined mix of nostalgia and new experiences to one of New England’s favorite family destinations.
For decades, Edaville has been a holiday staple for Massachusetts families, known for its twinkling lights and old-fashioned train rides. This year, the classic celebration has been refreshed to blend timeless charm with modern touches that invite guests to linger longer, laugh louder, and make new memories under the glow of more than 100,000 holiday lights.
"We’re thrilled to continue the tradition of joy and magic of the holidays with a reimagined Edaville Holiday Festival of Lights,” said Aimée Sedley, Producer and General Manager at Edaville Entertainment Venue. “From historic train rides and ice skating to horse-drawn carriage rides, live entertainment, and our new 21+ Jingle Bar, the festival offers something for everyone.”
The redesigned festival features expanded gathering areas, a larger artisan marketplace, and cozy spots for families to unwind between attractions. Live carolers and strolling performers fill the air with music while light shows synced to seasonal tunes create a dazzling backdrop each evening. For those 21 and older, the Jingle Bar offers festive cocktails and a chance to warm up in a whimsical winter setting.
Each weekend of the festival brings its own themed flair:
- Nov. 28–30: “Deck the Halls” weekend kicks off the season with a Tree Decorating Contest, a 2-for-1 ticket deal opening night, and a townwide Carver Day featuring free admission for local residents. The weekend wraps with a tree lighting ceremony and Santa’s Big Stage celebration.
- Dec. 5–7: “Winter Warm Up” turns up the cozy factor with an ugly sweater contest, pajama parties for kids and adults, and a “Fuzzy Slippers Brunch” with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
- Dec. 12–14: Shoppers can explore a festive Holiday Artisan Marketplace, filled with local vendors and special events like a Pie Eating Contest and a Menorah Lighting Ceremony marking the first day of Hanukkah.
- Dec. 19–21: The “Giving Tree” weekend focuses on giving back with coat, food, and toy drives benefiting local causes.
- Dec. 26–28: The celebration ends on a high note with “Let’s Glow Crazy,” featuring Kringle Karaoke, a children’s glow parade, and final weekend brunch festivities.
Located just an hour south of Boston, Edaville Entertainment Venue has been a part of Massachusetts’ holiday landscape since the 1940s. Under new management, the Carver destination continues its transformation, balancing nostalgia with new energy and entertainment.
