Idiot Criminals Of The Day: 2 Men Busted Trying To Steal Highway Signs In Connecticut

The 2 guys who were arrested trying to steal one of those large green highway signs. They were able to remove it and strap it to their truck but they didn't get away with it.

It takes a lot to be called the Idiot Criminals Of The Day on a show that talks about a lot of criminals. It means you did something to really stand out from the crowd and it's safe to say these guys definitely did. Reports say it happened on I-91 in Windsor just before 8:30am. According to WWLP, 46-year-old Jonathan Riopelle and 52-year-old Andrew Lampkin were both arrested after trying to take the large green highway signs. WWLP says that Riopelle and Lampkin were both charged with larceny in the third degree, reckless use of highway by pedestrian, and improper parking on highway. They have court dates in a couple of weeks.
