A Washington child found a live hand grenade in his family's front yard. This could have gone terribly but thankfully ended up okay.

It happened in Grant County, Washington. A 3-year-old boy found a live grenade in their yard and brought it to his parents who promptly called 911. You never expect to find a live grenade in your yard! The bomb squad had to come out and dispose of it and it all went safely and securely. It was later determined to be a type of grenade used in World War II! See a video report shared by Inside Edition on YouTube below.

According to WLOX, it's unknown how the grenade got there and how long it was there. You don't want your kid walking inside with a grenade! Especially a live one! Thankfully, nobody was hurt during this incident.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
