Rhode Island's T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) has been ranked as a Top 10 U.S. airport for the sixth consecutive year in Condé Nast Traveler's 2025 Readers' Choice Awards, placing eighth among all U.S. airports.
Here's what Condé Nast Traveler editors had to say about the airport:
"Rhode Island's T.F. Green Airport gets kudos from fliers as a 'great little airport' that's easy to reach and to navigate: More than two-thirds of New England's population lives within a 75-minute drive of the Providence airfield. Long favored by budget carriers as a less expensive alternative to Boston Logan, the airport has been growing steadily in recent years and is well-positioned to benefit from a resurgence in domestic air travel. Next year, in fact, PVD will become a hub for the new Breeze Airways, with 44 weekly departures expected by 2027."
Airport officials celebrated the achievement on Facebook:
“We come in this year at eighth best in the country, and the only ranked airport in New England. Thank you for all your support! We can't wait to see you at the airport.”
This year, Condé Nast Traveler readers cast 757,109 votes for the annual awards, determining the very best in hotels, resorts, spas, airlines, and more experiences worldwide. The results will be featured in the magazine's November issue.
The Condé Nast Traveler designation isn't the only award that T.F. Green Airport has received so far in 2025. Earlier this year, Travel + Leisure readers named T.F. Green the No. 1 airport in America in its 2025 World's Best Awards.
According to a Rhode Island Current report, between 2023 and 2024, T.F. Green saw a 10% increase in flights coming in and out of the airport, according to data compiled by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In all, T.F. Green reported 64,972 flight operations for 2023. The following year witnessed 71,992 flights.
