Entering a wilderness challenge is not for everyone. You'll have to face poor sleeping conditions, a lack of technology, and your food sources aren't going to be gourmet or your favorite food. This guy ate rats for 70 days in his effort to win the challenge. Thankfully, it paid off and he ended up winning. It would be a bummer to put yourself through all of that only to come up short. Dexerto says he won the 70-day wilderness challenge after surviving off of rats, insects, and plants during the grueling outdoor competition.

The Seven Stars Mountain Cup Extreme Wilderness Survival Challenge happens in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province in China. According to Dexerto, it concluded on September 22nd after 70 days and 69 nights. 100 contestants participated and were dropped into the remote mountain region with only a knife and bamboo pole. They didn't have tents, a camper, food, or any outside help.
To make it even more interesting, it was livestreamed across mainland China on social media. 33-year-old Yang Dongdong ended up winning the wilderness challenge. He's a beekeeper so he's used to scary things. Dexerto says he built his own shelter out of bamboo, vines, and dry grass. He even crafted his own baskets to catch fish and craps. For winning the contest he won around $14k.
Would you do this? 70 days is way too long even in a beautiful setting. I don't think I'd last a day.
