As the Worcester Red Sox (WooSox) wrap up their fifth season in Worcester, team president Dr. Charles Steinberg and his colleagues report that the team has once again exceeded expectations.
Fan attendance at Polar Park has reached record-breaking levels, especially on weekends.
The WooSox are actively attracting families from Worcester and nearby towns, Steinberg said. This interest has been bolstered by recent improvements to Polar Park and the popularity of top prospects like Marcelo Meyer and Roman Anthony, further fueling renewed fan enthusiasm.
"They're all coming through, and they're all going up. And, by the way, take a look at the impact of the Worcester grads on the Boston Red Sox. We're all very proud that the Red Sox are contenders, and we're proud of Worcester's contribution to that," Steinberg said in a statement shared with Spectrum News 1.
The WooSox concluded their final homestand with a fan appreciation week, featuring giveaways and promotions. The season ended on Sunday, Sept. 21. Look for the WooSox to resume play in late March 2026.
