The MBTA has announced the following diversions and shutdowns for Blue, Green, and Orange line services over the next several weeks.

Blue Line (Bowdoin to the Airport)

Blue Line service will be suspended between Bowdoin and the airport from Sept. 19-21. Three free and accessible shuttle bus routes will be available during this service suspension. Riders using the shuttle bus service should plan for at least 30 to 45 minutes of additional travel time.

Green Line D Branch (Kenmore to Riverside)

The Green Line D Branch service will be suspended between Kenmore and Riverside through Thursday, Sept. 11. Free and accessible shuttle bus service will replace train service between Kenmore and Riverside.

Orange Line (North Station to Forest Hills)

Orange Line service will be suspended between North Station and Forest Hills from Sept. 13-14, Sept. 27-28, and Oct. 11-13. Free and accessible shuttle bus service will make stops between Forest Hills and Back Bay, as well as Copley. No shuttle bus service will be offered between Back Bay and North Station.

In addition to these service disruptions, Fitchburg Commuter Rail Line service will be suspended for a half day from Sept. 15-23 and full-day service on Sept. 20-21 and Sept. 26-28. Free and accessible shuttle service will be provided between Fitchburg and Wachusett while train service is suspended.

Discounted Transportation via Bluebikes

The MBTA is reminding passengers that during the Green Line D Branch shutdown through Thursday, Sept. 11, riders are encouraged to use bikes as an alternative method of transportation. Individuals can use the code MBTAGREEN925 for five free Bluebikes unlocks per user, available during each closure. Unlocks will be available while supplies last.
