Remember: tattoos are permanent. Sure, you can get them removed but it sounds like that really hurts and isn't something you want to go through. So, if you decide to get a tattoo, make sure it's something meaningful that you'll want to keep--and make sure it's spelled correctly and is the tattoo you want. If you opt to get a tattoo in a different language, double--triple--check that it has the meaning you're intending because translation apps aren't always the most accurate and you could be walking around with a tattoo that has a significantly different--or possibly offensive--meaning! It happens a lot more often than you'd think. Now, there's a Chinese teacher going viral for translating tattoos and showing the hilarious mistakes people have made. This is awesome. There's no way that the person intended to get "Refrigerator" tattooed on them. They also mixed up "Cancer" the astrology sign for "cancer" the disease, it sounds like. Some of these mistakes would be horrible if you realized what it actually says. Good on her for calling them out!
This is why you should always make sure before you get the characters tattooed! Translations can be wrong and context sometimes matters! You don't want to end up in one of her videos.
