A Florida cop is going viral online after using his bare hands to wrangle an alligator in a swimming pool. How badass is that?

Anyone choosing to wrangle an alligator has my respect. It's dangerous and certainly something you'd never see me do in a million years. These dare devils will use all sorts of tactics to help them wrangle gators from tools and ropes to even garbage cans. Deciding to use your bare hands to wrangle an alligator is a wild choice, but in Florida it's probably nothing new. This Florida cop is now going viral after doing it in St. Augustine. Check out video shared by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office on Facebook below.

As you can see in the video, the Florida cop tried to use a net at first which is a good decision to see what you're working with. Using your bare hands should be considered a final option, if you ask me. Eventually, he had to grab it with his hands and pull it out of the water. It's quite impressive.

According to UPI, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said, "The alligator wasn't happy its pool time was over or about the ride in the patrol car, but it was buckled in and safely relocated to a nearby pond by Deputy Richardson."

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
