Just like you shouldn't drink and drive, smoking and driving isn't a smart decision either. It can mess with your depth perception and more. It can be dangerous! It messes with your decision making and might cause you to be forgetful and leave your weed pen on the dashboard during a traffic stop. That appears to be what happened here during a traffic stop in Lake County, California. After searching his car, authorities found 400lbs of magic mushrooms and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, per Lake Co News.

31-year-old Alexander Abare of Arcata was arrested as a result of the seizure, per Lake Co News. It happened around 1:45am along Highway 20 in Upper Lake.

Sounds like after getting pulled over, the officer noticed signs of impairment and a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, in addition to appearing nervous, per Lake Co News. He later admitted to having weed and a vape pen on his dash and then a search of the vehicle resulted in 400 pounds of magic mushrooms being discovered.

Lake Co News reports that $370k in cash. Abare was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including: felony transportation of a controlled substance for sale across county lines, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a switchblade, and possession of an open container of marijuana in a vehicle, per Lake Co News.

400lbs of magic mushrooms? That's a lot! I can't even comprehend how much that is. No wonder reports say he seemed nervous after being pulled over!
