A player for the Savannah Bananas, a popular exhibition baseball team, is going viral for faceplanting on live TV. It had to have hurt.

If you're going to botch a backflip and faceplant then it's probably best to do it alone or just in front of your friends. Sure, they'll probably tease you a little bit but you'll get over it and it will quickly be forgotten. Faceplanting on live TV would be a little bit different and would certainly get more eyeballs on it...especially once the video of the attempt goes viral. That's what one player for the Savannah Bananas is likely going through right now as he's getting a lot of attention online for his failed backflip live on CNN. I'm sure he'd nail it 9/10 times! However, that 1 time just happened to be on TV. Check out video of Robert Anthony Cruz's, aka Coach RAC. faceplant while attempting a backflip below.

I'm not teasing him. You know how hard it is to do a backflip? Not many people can do it! Even taking the time and effort to give it a try is impressive on its own. I'm sure he's nailed the backflip many times and can do it in his sleep, something just went wrong on this specific attempt. It happens. I'd be highly surprised if I found out it was his first time faceplanting. It comes with the profession I would imagine.

To his credit, he gets up pretty quickly after falling down. He could have just stayed down. That's what I might have done, personally. Just stay there until they turn the cameras off. Of course, that also would have gone viral for sure.

You could even see the anchors laughing and doing their best to hold it back but it was unsuccessful. Cruz later took to Instagram to explain what had happened saying, "They say all press is good press, huh? Well, you've probably seen the video. Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
