McDonald’s Debuts New Spicy Breakfast Menu Options

McDonald's debuted some spicy breakfast menu options this week. As if it wasn't already the best breakfast in fast food!

Other chains try to compete with McDonald's breakfast and its tasty McMuffins and Sausage Biscuits but nobody can seem to keep up. Their breakfast menu options are just too good. Now, the menu is getting even hotter--in a different type of way. The new Spicy McMuffin lineup includes items like the Spicy McMuffin itself, Spicy Sausage McMuffin, and Spicy Sausage McMuffin with Egg. All of these new menu items feature the new Spicy Pepper Sauce and it sounds like it could wake you up! A little spice in the morning goes a long way and can help you come alive and become alert in the morning.

According to Newsweek, the limited-edition nationwide menu coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Egg McMuffin. That's basically the sandwich that started McDonald's famous breakfast service. It's come a long way in 50 years, and although I'll admit I'm a bigger fan of the Sausage Biscuit I can't deny the greatness of the Egg McMuffin. So buttery and delicious.

I hope that the new menu items do well at restaurant locations across the country because I want these to stay around! I like having a spicy option for breakfast. Some McDonald's will have the spicy McChicken Biscuit for breakfast and that's one of my favorite menu items ever--but it's not at every location! I hate when you find something you like but don't know if it will be everywhere and can't find it. It's incredibly frustrating.

McDonald's seems to understand that menu items come and go. They've already come out and urged customers to get it while they can because, "The Spicy McMuffin won't last forever," per Newsweek. I'll have to get my hands on these to try them before issuing whether or not they deserve to stay on menus full-time. However, I see them being incredibly delicious. McDonald's doesn't mess around when it comes to breakfast.
