This is the last thing you want to have happen when you're at a museum. You never want to break something. People joke about it all the time and imagine what would happen if you accidentally did--now this guy is living that nightmare reality. It happened at the Palazzo Maffei where a Swarovski crystal-covered chair named after Vincent Van Gogh, created by Nicola Bolla, was destroyed after a tourist sat on it. When you're at a museum, you have to assume everything is art--even the chair you're about to sit on. Always think twice before making your choice because you could end up damaging a priceless piece of art. See a video of it happening below.

The Palazzo Maffei is an art gallery in Verona, Italy. It looks like the woman in the video pretended to sit on the chair before the man actually does put his weight on it breaking the chair. It seems like this might not have been a clumsy accident. They seem to have been testing their limits and playing around. They even appeared to wait for the security guard to leave!

According to Metro, the museum was able to repair the chair, despite initial doubts. The museum tells Metro, "Every museum's nightmare has become reality, even in Palazzo Maffei. Waiting for the surveillance officers to come out, some visitors took an 'in effect' photo. The result? An irresponsible gesture caused serious damage to Nicola Bolla's 'Van Gogh' chair, a very delicate work, covered entirely with hundreds of Swarovski crystals."

Don't be those tourists! It's never a good look.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
