An etiquette expert is going viral for showing the "correct" way to eat a banana. It sounds like people are not on board with this.

When you call yourself an expert you better be ready to back it up. If you're wrong or if people disagree with you, they're definitely going to let you hear it. That seems to be the case with this etiquette expert who's going viral online for showing the correct way to eat a banana...allegedly. People are letting their voices be heard on this subject now and seem quite outraged, honestly. The video was shared on Instagram by William Hanson who's allegedly an etiquette expert. He does say "banana" in a very cool way to his credit. However, there's no way anybody is eating a banana like this! Check out his unique way below. Are you going to start eating bananas this way?

In the video, he starts by cutting the ends off of the banana. He then dissects it downs the middle horizontally, allowing access to the insides. That's when he uses his fork to pick out the insides and eats it. It's incredibly fancy looking, but c'mon! Nobody is going to eat their banana like this! It has to be a joke!

He compares the way most of us eat our bananas to being "like a primate!" It's crazy to see somebody eat a banana this way. Not everything in life has to be fancy, friend. Live a little and eat the banana like a primate. This is like that episode of Seinfeld where George starts eating candy bars with a fork and knife and it starts to take off. It's just as ridiculous. Only Seinfeld is a sitcom and this is real life.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
