Thousands of Smurfs came together to break a world record. 3,076 people dressed as Smurfs gathered in a small town in France.

It happened in Landerneau, France. They've tried to break this record before but came up short. Previously, the record was set at 2,762 people in Germany. They say third time's the charm and this time they officially set the record! Great timing as well as there's a new Smurfs moving coming out in July. That probably helped lead them to a win! Check out a video of the very blue celebration below!

Thousands Of Smurfs Come Together To Break A World Record

That's a lot of Smurfs! Cool that they stuck with it and finally broke the record. The video is captioned, "3,076 Smurfs gathered in one place--this is how so many Smurfs look together! Landerneau wins the world record for the most people dressed as Smurfs!" The Smurfs movie hits theatres on July 18th.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
