A South Carolina nudist resort is hosting a clothing optional 5K. Are you looking to get some running in?

One of the biggest problems about running would have to be the chaffing. It's painful and will make you want to stop. It's very uncomfortable the way your clothes will rub your during your run and leave you with painful rashes and potentially bleeding. However, if you have no clothes on you don't have to worry about all that chaffing and pain! A 5K hosted by a nudist resort might be a good thing when it comes to preventing chaffing! However, it likely comes with some issues of its own as well.

If you think this sounds like something nobody would be interested in, I'm sorry to tell you that you are incorrect, my friend. According to UPI, 161 people already signed up to run the annual 5k race that comes with an interesting catch--it's clothing optional.

It's hosted by the Carolina Foothills Resort which is a nudist resort in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. The race will be taking place on June 14th and already has a record number of people registered for the run.

Tom Crowder, who's on the resort's board of directors, says, "You can go anywhere and do a 5k, but you can't go anywhere and run a 5k naked. If you go to the turkey trot and drop your drawers, you're probably going to be arrested," via UPI.

You can also do some extra running this year to honor founder Mike Ward by running 7.3k in honor of his 73 years of live on earth. Ward passed away in 2017. Run free, baby! Run free!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
