Did a restaurant serve a pregnant woman rat salad? It sounds like it and I can't even imagine how awful that would be.

You don't want rats anywhere near your food--you especially don't want a rat in your food. The restaurant in Sydney, Australia has since apologized to the customer after they posted an online review claiming she found a dead rat in her meal, per The New York Post. It happened while she was eating at Tatsuya West Ryde, a Japanese restaurant. The customer says they found the rodent in her half-eaten side salad. Ah! She already ate half!? You don't want to realize there's a rat in your food when you're halfway through eating it! Looking at pictures, there's no mistaking what that is. It's a rat.

Restaurant Serves Pregnant Woman A Rat Salad

The woman's friend left a review saying, "My pregnant friend and I were having their lunch set today and in her small salad was a disgusting feral dead rat that was underneath the salad," per The New York Post. Then, someone alleging to be her husband left a review with a picture saying, "My wife's salad had a rat in it. Absolutely disgusting..."

Of all things to find in your food, a rat could be the worst. They only are responsible for starting the Black Plague. The restaurant did apologize and said the issue originated from a delivered salad box and they are now investigating with their supplier and local food authorities.

Always check your food for rats before you start eating!

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
