A 9-1-1 Operator Was Busted Ordering McGriddles
This is not the first time we've talked about a 9-1-1 operator on our show. We've had angry dispatchers, lazy dispatchers, and now a McGriddle dispatcher. Dave makes a controversial statement to begin this segment and see if you agree or disagree.
According to WTOC, "When you call 911, you expect an immediate answer, but for many within Chatham County, that may not always be the case. This Valentine’s Day, Dylan Johnson called 911 when he thought someone was breaking into his home. When he finally made contact with a dispatcher—he says she was ordering breakfast. After about three minutes into Johnson’s 911 call, you can hear the dispatcher talking to others around her and appearing to order breakfast. WTOC Investigates obtained the 911 call. The dispatcher appears to say “Mhmm… McGriddle… *coughs* I’m sorry, what?” on the call. Johnson says he was stunned by what he heard."
We were also stunned by this moment. We were also shocked by the number of calls that went unanswered during the past few years at this specific precinct. It's crazy to think that you can call 9-1-1 and they just don't answer. Well, it appears that placing McGriddles orders takes precedent here.
So, Dave started the segment by saying he wanted to make a controversial statement. Jokingly, everyone can't believe DAVE would say something controversial. He says that he believes that McGriddles are a big person food choice. Or, McGriddles are a chubby person food. No one argues. It is one of those food items that might make you think the person ordering it is bigger than average.
