Florida Man Texts Homeowner Asking For His Drugs Back After Trespassing
A Florida man texted a homeowner asking for his drugs back after trespassing. Bad time to misplace your drugs!
The Florida man is accused of unintentionally setting himself up to be arrested after law enforcement says he sent a text about leaving drugs behind in a home he was asked to leave. Sounds like he didn’t want to go without his drugs. The incident reportedly happened in Holmes County, Florida. Deputies responded to a call about having one Christopher Newton removed and trespassed from a home, per FOX 13 News. While on the scene, he reportedly texted the homeowner about drugs he left on the nightstand. Well, officers got permission to search the room and found a plastic bag with cocaine inside of it. Newton was then arrested and charged with possession of cocaine. Would he have been caught had he not sent the text? Probably not! The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office took to social media to say, “If you’re going to leave something behind, maybe don’t text about it!” You can see Newton’s mugshot provided by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office below.
