A huge entertainment center is headed to Disney Springs. LEVEL99, which started in Massachusetts, will create their biggest location yet in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The two-story space will feature 60 challenge rooms packed into this massive attraction.
"Our vision is to make 'challenge rooms' a mainstream concept, and the opportunity to open at a marquee location like Disney Springs is the next step in our plans to expand the LEVEL99 brand nationally," said Matthew DuPlessie to WDW Magic.
At 45,000 square feet, this new location towers over their other venues. Small groups can take on quick challenges in specially designed rooms made for repeated plays and ongoing entertainment.
The space combines physical and mental challenges. Guests can climb a Pong-inspired wall, compete in timed button-pressing games, or solve tricky puzzles connected to local artwork displayed throughout the building.
Those looking for refreshments can relax at a two-story bar offering craft beers and cocktails. The food menu will include Detroit-style pizza and other crowd-pleasing dishes.
DuPlessie comes with impressive background - an MIT engineering degree and Harvard Business School education. He started the escape room trend back in 2004. Now Panera founder Ron Shaich's investment group supports his newest project.
Existing locations operate in Natick Mall and Providence Place Mall. West Hartford and Tysons Corner will join the list this year as new sites open up.
This growth shows ambitious goals ahead as LEVEL99 looks to expand across the country. The company hasn't announced when the Disney Springs location will open its doors.
