Man Arrested After Causing A Scene At A Cleveland Airport

A man has been arrested after reportedly causing a scene at a Cleveland airport. It's the latest story from the not-so-friendly skies.

It seems like every day a new story is coming out of some sort of problem at an airport. It might be an unruly customer, a rude employee, or a door flying off of the plane. All of these have happened recently and it only adds to the stress of having to go to the airport. They seem to be happening all over the country and no city is immune from the problem. This time around it happened at a Cleveland airport, Hopkins International Airport to be exact. A lot of the craziness was captured on video at the scene. We all know the holidays can be an incredibly stressful time and being at the airport during this time of year can't be an easy experience and certainly comes with some drama and frustrations. However, you can't end up behaving like this! It will only get you in trouble.

As I mentioned above, the holidays are stressful. You have places to be and people to see and it means you have to be on the go and your timing is important. Spending days with your family can also tend to add some stress to your life. Additionally, airports are stressful. You have to make it to your gate on-time, you have to deal with rude people, and it's never a great environment. So, you can imagine the airport during the holidays is pure chaos. However, this happened back in August but a lot of the information is just now coming to light.

According to WJW, a man is now facing charges after flying into a rage at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. It sounds like several people were taken off a plane and at one point police body camera showed video of officers walking up to a man standing in the airport concourse with his hands in the air. Clearly, this man knew he was in trouble for his actions at a gate in which a computer was smashed and broken.

Per WJW, the suspect said, "I ain't drunk. Had a few words with the agent. I told him I'm gonna board the plane. They said I can't get on the plane." At that point he was told that it was no reason to tear the computer up by an officer. The man has been identified as Thomas Shipman, Jr. WJW says the airline told police that Shipman caused a disturbance boarding a plane and when he was told he had to get off the plane he turned violent. He wasn't the only one taken off the plane though. Video shows officers escorting 2 other passengers off that same plane suspected of being drunk and acting up. However, it was only Shipman who ended up facing any charges. WJW reports he threatened to kill an airline employee.

Shipman ended up pleading not guilty to charges including felony vandalism, menacing, and assault. WJW says Shipman told police that he was having trouble finding his sweatshirt when the drama started and he missed a flight for the second time on that day. Again, airports can be stressful! However, you can't do that!

While committing crimes may seem black and white (you either broke the law or you didn't), there are certainly some crimes that are dumber than others. Sometimes it's the crime itself that's wild, other times, it's the people committing said crimes. These are 5 of the craziest, cringeworthy crimes ever committed.

Crimes can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. However, it takes a very unique individual, a case study if you will, to commit some of these outrageously dumb crimes. Years ago, these criminals would have been featured on Spike TV or one of those America's Dumbest Criminal shows. Today, I'm not sure if those shows are around...and I'm certain Spike TV isn't around anymore. That's a story for another time.

Crimes can happen for a number of reasons. They may happen out of necessity. They could also happen on accident. These crimes, however, do not fall into those categories. These crimes are different. None of these would accidentally happen. They also aren't a matter of life or death. There's no ethics quiz here, or any matters of 'would you steal bread to support your family?' These crimes, and criminals, aren't straight up cringeworthy.

While all of these crimes are crazy and certainly cringeworthy, they also make for excellent conversation pieces. That's why I've gone and found five examples of the wildest stories that Dave and Chuck the Freak have talked about and made a list highlighting the best of the best.
