Guy Crashes Rented Tesla Cybertruck While Chasing Porch Pirate

A guy crashed his rented Tesla Cybertruck while chasing a porch pirate! Not what you want to have happen, especially if it's your Cybertruck!

Renting a car on Turo can be cool. It's a great idea if you want a flashy sports car to drive to your date. Maybe you can take a Sunday spin in your dream car. It's all possible on the app! You can also rent your car and allow people to use it for a few days. It can be a good way to make some money if you're not going to be doing any driving. However, it's also evidently a way to have your car damaged without you inside of it or around! Yikes!

Sometimes, it's best not to chase down criminals. You can end up hurting yourself, getting someone else hurt, or damaging a car. This time around it was a very unique Tesla Cybertruck that was damaged. According to Futurism, the vigilante who rented a neon green Tesla Cybertruck on the car sharing app Turo chased down a porch pirate and forced them off the road and into a tree. While it might seem good to stop the criminals, maybe it's best if you do it in your own car?

They had to have felt like Batman going to save the day in the Batmobile chasing down the thieves in a Cybertruck. The car's owner, Stefen Phelps shared video footage on Facebook showing the pickup accelerating after spotting a person running to their car with what appears to be a package in their hands. Wait, it wasn't even their package that was being stolen? That makes things even worse for them. The Cybertruck catches up to the black sedan and eventually forces it off the road and sends it into a tree. However, then the Cybertruck crashes into the back of the alleged porch pirate's car essentially making a sandwich with the burglar's car and a tree. That was a pretty big crash! He had to have felt like a hero until he released what had just happened and that he's not in his own car! According to Furturism, it was an $800 rental from Friday to Monday. Now, Phelps is waiting to see just how good insurance is on the app. It's unclear if insurance will end up paying for the damage or what will happen. What is known is he has a lot of paperwork ahead of him and it might be his last time renting out his car on the app. This is why we can't have nice things! You can't trust anyone these days!

Oh, Chuck The Freak. Where would we be without you? The funny man often makes the Peep Show what it is. I can't imagine the show without his wit, comedy, and good looks.
