Tom Brady Donates $100K to Hurricane Milton Relief Efforts
Tom Brady has donated $100,000 to Hurricane Milton relief efforts.
Brady shared via X (formerly Twitter), “In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I’ll be making a donation of $100k to help get essentials like food, water and first aid to fellow Floridians in need. My friends at @gopuff are matching this, along with all other donations made via ‘Give With Gopuff,’ all benefiting the Volunteer Florida Foundation.”
He concluded his statement with, “Keep those impacted by these storms in your prayers, look out for your neighbors, and continue to help out any way you’re able. Stay safe, and stay strong Florida.”
Brady isn’t the only celebrity donating to hurricane relief efforts. Feeding America announced on October 9 that Taylor Swift donated $5 million to their efforts.
Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot said in a statement, “We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts. This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms.”
Babineaux-Fontenot concluded, “Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead. Thank you, Taylor, for standing with us in the movement to end hunger and for helping communities in need.”
The next day after Swift’s donation, her close friend, Blake Lively, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, donated $1 million to Feeding America. Babineaux-Fontenot said in a statement, “We thank Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for donating $1 million to our disaster relief fund for Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Their longtime support of Feeding America in times of crisis has helped our network on the ground before, during and after disasters. These funds will help food banks provide basic needs like water, ready to eat food and supplies to communities facing heartbreaking loss and a long recovery.”
