Sometimes, people just aren't very good at hiding their drugs even when they think they are. There was the guy who hid his drugs inside a bullet at the airport, the guy who tried to hide the drugs up his nose, and now we have people trying to hide drugs inside a bag labeled "definitely not a bag full of drugs." If you can even call that "trying" to hide the drugs?
Drugs Found Inside Bag Labeled 'Definitely Not A Bag Full Of Drugs'
It's safe to say some hiding spots are better than others and this is clearly an example of a poor place to hide your drugs. It happened in Portland, Oregon which is a town pretty famous for being eccentric and lots of drug use. So this story seems to fit right in with its surroundings.
According to Oregon Live, Mia Rochelle Baggenstos, 37, and Reginald Lamont Reynolds, 35, were pulled over and after a search officers found much more than they were expecting to find. Oregon Live reports that they found cash, a loaded revolver, scales, and a bag that had "Definitely not a bag full of drugs" printed on it which believe it or not did in fact contain drugs. Portland Police Bureau spokesperson Terri Strauss tells Oregon Live that the drugs were fentanyl and meth which measured over 10 grams. That's a significant amount of product.
Now, Reynolds is facing charges of delivery of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. Baggenstos was reportedly booked on the same charges but it sounds like prosecutors are indicating that they will not bring charges against her. You can see a picture of what the Portland Police Bureau found below.
While you might think you're being clever hiding drugs in a bag labeled "definitely not a bag full of drugs" to anybody else it's going to be pretty obvious that it's a bag of drugs. It might seem funny to some friends or something like that but law enforcement will usually be able to see right through that and you're unlikely to fool them. It looks like these 2 had a lot going on and that was a lot of drugs found in the vehicle and not to mention a gun as well!
5 of the Craziest Cringeworthy Crimes Ever Committed
While committing crimes may seem black and white (you either broke the law or you didn't), there are certainly some crimes that are dumber than others. Sometimes it's the crime itself that's wild, other times, it's the people committing said crimes. These are 5 of the craziest, cringeworthy crimes ever committed.
Crimes can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. However, it takes a very unique individual, a case study if you will, to commit some of these outrageously dumb crimes. Years ago, these criminals would have been featured on Spike TV or one of those America's Dumbest Criminal shows. Today, I'm not sure if those shows are around...and I'm certain Spike TV isn't around anymore. That's a story for another time.
Craziest Crimes
Crimes can happen for a number of reasons. They may happen out of necessity. They could also happen on accident. These crimes, however, do not fall into those categories. These crimes are different. None of these would accidentally happen. They also aren't a matter of life or death. There's no ethics quiz here, or any matters of 'would you steal bread to support your family?' These crimes, and criminals, aren't straight up cringeworthy.
While all of these crimes are crazy and certainly cringeworthy, they also make for excellent conversation pieces. That's why I've gone and found five examples of the wildest stories that Dave and Chuck the Freak have talked about and made a list highlighting the best of the best. Let's be honest...what's better than reading a story about one of the craziest crimes ever committed? Or, watching Dave and Chuck the Freak talk about some of the dumbest crimes ever committed? Personally, I'm going with the funny storytellers.
They add their own two cents and perspectives on these stories that nobody else could provide. Not even those talking heads on the dumbest criminal shows. Am I the only one who remembers those? I feel like they were a staple on TruTV or VH1, but now all I can find on TruTV is Impractical Jokers, which is awesome but...you get it. Let's not delay! Here's the list!
