Florida Mom And Son Accused Of Using Business For Prostitution Ring

A Florida mom and son have been accused of using their real estate business for a prostitution ring. Imagine doing that with your mom!?

I guess it's good to be close with your family but this just feels different for some reason. A Florida mom and son have been using their real estate business to run a prostitution ring for 25 years it sounds like! This sounds too unbelievable to be real but it is! Honestly, it sounds like something you'd see in a movie but this is real-life.

Working with your mom would be a nice way to bond and spend time together. However, working with your mom while running a prostitution ring just feels a bit...wrong. It happened in Broward County, Florida.

According to The Independent, a Florida mom and son jointly ran a prostitution ring for nearly 25 years, washing hundreds of thousands of dollars through businesses, and were even reportedly about to flee the country when they were apprehended. This is a very unique relationship between mother and son it sounds like.

A probably cause affidavit obtained by The Independent says, "Based on...intelligence gathered, and evidence obtained from records, there is reason to believe that Margareta von Lambert is using her Florida Realtor's License to facilitate the laundering of illicit proceeds for her son, Christopher Jelavic." The Independent even reports that many of the escorts working for the Florida mom and son were registered as real estate agents and even had valid real estate licenses. Lambert is 70-years-old and her son is 48-years-old and they were reportedly arrested shortly after he bought plane tickets to Brazil in the middle of the night.

Now, they are both being detained on felony charges of money laundering and deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution, per The Independent. To pay their bail they'll have to be able to prove that the money didn't come from any illegal activities and their bail is not cheap! According to The Independent, their company, Pretty Woman Escorts, offered Latin American and European women for $300-$400 an hour.

Both of them were ordered to turn in their passports and did not board their flight to Brazil. You can see both of their mugshots below provided by the Broward County Sheriff's Office. They look like they'd be the same age! Good for them. If they weren't already close they might have an opportunity to get even closer soon!
