Idiot Criminals Of The Day Hold Up Furniture Delivery Workers

A pair of people in Oakland County held up furniture delivery workers after they thought they stole their marijuana. Now, the pair are in a lot of trouble.

When you have people in your house and then can't find your weed, it's natural to think that the strangers might have taken it. However, what you can't do is call them back and threaten to kill them at gunpoint. Unfortunately, it sounds like that's what happened here. The incident took place in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

According to Click On Detroit, 2 people who work for a furniture delivery company dropped off some furniture on August 31st at the residence in Farmington Hills. However, afterwards, Latonya Hixon, the homeowner, called the company to complain the furniture wasn't put together properly and asked for the furniture delivery workers to come back to her home, per Click On Detroit. However, it's believed this was just a ploy to get them to come back because she believed they stole her marijuana. When they arrived, Hixon grabbed a gun and accused them of stealing her weed, per Click On Detroit.

That's when Hixon and Omar Witherspoon--believed to be her nephew--held them at gunpoint and robbed them of their paychecks which was roughly $1,700 in total, per Click On Detroit. Eventually, the pair released the workers who went to the Farmington Hills Police Department to report what went down. Eventually, Hixon admitted to having a gun and confronting the workers but refused to identify the other person involved.

According to Click On Detroit, Hixon was taken into custody and charged with armed robbery, felony assault, and a felony firearm violation. Later, 2 counts of unlawful imprisonment were later added to her list of charges. Later on, law enforcement learned of Witherspoon's identify after going through Hixon's phone and they found video of them robbing the furniture delivery workers. Again, don't film yourself committing crimes! No good can come from that! We say it all the time! It was then determined that the pair held them at gunpoint in the apartment and even threatened to kill them, per Click On Detroit. Witherspoon has since been charged with armed robbery and 2 counts of unlawful imprisonment. Those furniture delivery workers had to have been spooked!
