Six Flags Mexico Ride Breaks Down Leaving People Stranded 250ft In The Air

People were left stranded 250ft in the air during a storm after a ride broke down at Six Flags Mexico. This is nightmare material.

When you go to an amusement park, this is something you risk happening. Once and a while (not often) the rides will malfunction leaving people stranded. Sometimes, they have emergency crews go get them and carefully walk them down the ride. Other times, they're left stranded in the air in the middle of a storm. That's what happened at Six Flags Mexico recently, and it looks incredibly scary.

You do not want this to happen to you. If you think it's scary to watch on video, imagine if you were the one holding the camera! As much as you'd want to get it on camera to prove what happened, I'd be scared to move to grab it. They are incredibly high up in the air, if anything goes wrong--it's not going to end well.

According to TMZ, the SkyScreamer ride was brought to a halt leaving riders hanging in mid-air for roughly 10 minutes! I'm sure each minute felt like an eternity. As if that wasn't enough, the weather took a turn for the worse and it began raining very hard in the area of the Mexico City theme park. In the viral video, you can see some riders are not comfortable being up there (who would be?) and they're grabbing the metal bars incredibly tight. I would be too!

Thankfully, TMZ reports that nobody was hurt during the incident that happened last week. Later, Six Flags Mexico confirmed that the ride was stopped because of the bad weather and the SkyScreamer and several other rides were affected. The theme park said, "Unfortunately, the storm intensified during the evacuation process, creating some uncomfortable moments for our visitors. Park staff attended to all visitors and no incidents were reported. Sky Screamer resumed normal operations shortly after," via TMZ.

Unfortunately, this was not the first scary incident to happen at a Six Flags amusement park this Summer. A boy had to be rescued after falling into a man-made river on the Roaring Rapids ride at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, per TMZ. See, it's all a part of the risk of going to an amusement park.
