Another day, another bar fight. But it it's rare when they person involved in the assault is a news anchor. And even more rare, the news station that the anchor works for does the report on the story of their own staff member.
According to reports from KBTX, one of their news anchors named Heather Kovar was arrested for assault family violence when she broke someone's nose outside of a bar in College Station, Texas.
Apparently, according to KBTX, the news station where she works, Heather was inside a bar in College Station with someone she knew, the two left the bar, and following a disagreement Heather left the other person with a broken nose. It is reported that KBTX management is investigating the matter. Heather has been anchoring weekend newscasts since 2023.
A Rare Case
A situation like this has to be extremely rare. We've discussed police chief's being arrested and things of that nature but I'm having trouble remembering a time when a news station had to do a report on one of their own anchors being arrested.
A Turning Point For The Show
Wouldn't that be something. I can't even imagine someone on the show being arrested for a crime and then Dave having to cover it. In a 'Bitches Trippin'' segment or 'Idiot Criminal of the Day'. Who is the most likely from the show to end up on one of those segments? I will not share my own thoughts but what do you think? The show would be different for sure. There have been times when a crime is committed and we imagine one of us being involved in a situation like it. Let's just hope that never happens, one for the sake of the show, but also so none of us are arrested.
