Comedian and Actor David Spade announced yesterday that he will be back on the road this fall, and it turns out the Joe Dirt star will be spending a short amount of time in the northeast. However, the good news is that David Spade's comedy tour will include two September dates in New England.
Spade has set himself up for quite a busy 2024. He is currently embarking on the Joe Dirt Country Bus tour. This takes him through North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee until the end of June.
After a quick holiday break, Spade will then hop back out, starting the next leg of his tour on July 19 in Las Vegas. 18 standup comedy dates from coast to coast will follow. It is also quite possible you will be catching material that will then be featured in a show. The stop in Denver, Colorado is scheduled to also be a "special taping."
Along the way, you have to wonder if Spade will be getting a head start to prepare for next year. 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of arguably his biggest hit film, Tommy Boy, where he starred alongside the late, great, Chris Farley.
David Spade's Comedy Tour In New England Info
Spade is squeezing in these two New England area shows between West Coast dates. After a show in Seattle, Spade will be at William H. Mortensen Hall in Hartford, Connecticut, on Friday, September 20. He heads an hour and a half east the next night with a gig at The Vets in Providence, Rhode Island. Both shows are set to start at 8 PM.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 21 at 10 AM.
In addition to Tommy Boy, if you need some material to prep you for Spade's comedic humor, the soon-to-be 60-year-old star has also had a featured role Black Sheep, Dickie Robert: Former Child Star, and Adam Sandler's Grown Ups series. If you want to really be prepared, check out some of the customer merch Spade has on sale that feature the likeness of many of his famous characters.
In addition, Spade has a popular podcast called Fly On The Wall. His co-star is fellow Saturday Night Live alum Dana Carvey. Recent episode guests include Anthony Michael Hall, Jerry Seinfeld, and rock band Kings of Leon."
