Oregon Amusement Park Ride Left People Hanging Upside Down For 30 Minutes
An Oregon amusement park ride left people hanging upside down for 30 minutes! That’s a nightmare scenario turned real!
It happened on the ride called “AtmosFEAR” at Oaks Amusement Park in Portland, Oregon. It seems like what happened really fits the ride’s name. Here’s more on what happened and you can watch the video below!
Oregon Amusement Park Ride Leaves People Hanging
This is exactly why I don’t like roller coasters or any sort of thrill ride at amusement parks. They don’t always go as planned, and when something bad happens you could be left in a situation you don’t want to be in. You could be stuck up very high, you could be stranded, or you could end up upside down for 30 minutes! Unfortunately, that’s actually what happened at Oaks Amusement Park in Portland, Oregon!
According to KATU 2, Portland Fire & Rescue said it received calls about riders being stuck around 3pm and arrived shortly after to get the riders down. It’s uncomfortable to be upside down on a ride for the mere seconds that the ride allows, let alone for almost half an hour! This gives me so much anxiety! Who knows what you’d be thinking, certainly you’d be thinking this is the end. You could slip out of the thing, you could go unconscious, you could be up there for hours! You have no idea and it’s natural to assume the worst when you find yourself in a situation like that.
One rider, Daniel Allen, told KATU News, “I was crying, not of joy, not of anything, I was just crying. I was more happy I was alive. I don’t think I’ve ever appreciated my life more. This is really an acknowledgement moment for me.”
Check out video of the incident below. I don’t think I will ever go on a ride like this again. I can’t imagine being stuck up there like that. Nope, no thank you! Have you ever had something like this happen to you?
