Everyone loves their delicious Cheddar Bay Biscuits. There’s truly nothing else like them. Thankfully, they sell those frozen so hopefully those don’t go away if the restaurants do. They filed for bankruptcy back in May.
On Monday, June 3rd, the Public Enemy rapper shared a photo on X (formerly Twitter) showing a table full of food from the seafood chain. It’s actually every item on the menu. Did you have Flavor Flav helping Red Lobster on your 2024 bingo card?
Flav captioned the photo, “Ya boy meant it when I said I was gonna do anything and everything to help Red Lobster and save the Cheddar Bay Biscuits.” How awesome is that? Sure, he’ll have to do it several more times and get some friends to join in order to really change anything but it’s still cool to see him out there trying! Well, good news is he is kind of planning on doing that! During the trip pictured on social media he was with his daughter, and now he’s planning on going back and doing it again with his son.
Now, he’s in talks with Red Lobster for some potential collaborations in the near future. So, even if he doesn’t end up saving the restaurant chain he could end up doing himself some favors by doing this nice deed. That’s great! Plus, he’s one of the funniest entertainers on the planet. I’ve seen delicious items come and go, prices climb, and experiences all the promos and deals. Why did KFC get rid of the Twister? When will McDonald’s bring back the famous Snack Wraps? These are all questions I ask every day, and sadly have no answers for. However, one day…we will get them back. I truly believe it in my heart of hearts.
I could go on and on about my love for the value menu. I’d say at least once a week I think back on my high school days when the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy’s was only 99 cents. Do you remember that? 99 cents! It was amazing. Now, the price for one JBC is closer to $3 than it is 99 cents. I feel like this is the new version of that old “back in my day, we’d walk 2 miles to school up hill both ways! stories your grandparents would tell. Now, these stories are all about how low the value menu prices were back in our day. “When I was your age, every item on the dollar menu was a dollar!”
