Indiana Groom Arrested After Shooting Guest At Wedding
According to WAVE 3, Corey Parker was charged with battery and criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon after his arrest on May 18th. Despite being legally married since 2022, Parker and his Mrs. were just celebrating their marriage.
WAVE 3 reports that Indiana State Police were called to the reception hall after a woman called 911 claiming Parker shot her boyfriend during an argument and fight with another individual (who has since been identified as Jonathan Goff). According to Parker, his bride had left with Goff’s wife to return to the Cobblestone Hotel in Salem, Indiana. It’s alleged that Goff had gotten into an argument with his own wife after being accused of flirting with another woman. As Parker was leaving, he claims him and Goff got into an argument and started shoving each other. Per WAVE 3, Parker believed Goff was trying to get his gun out of the center console of his car and the two were fighting over the gun when it went off and struck the boyfriend of the woman who called 911.
Parker has been charged with battery for punching Goff in the face and criminal recklessness for shooting the third man in his hand and Goff has been charged on the same two charges, per WAVE 3.
