According to Daily Mail, "if minimal sweating occurs, men are at no higher risk of infections or other health harm if they wait 48 hours before refreshing their underpants."

So, there it is. Men: you've been given the go ahead to only change your underwear every other day, as long as you're not too sweaty. Significant other have a problem with it? Send them here. It's all good.

However, the same can't be said for women, according to the study. According to Daily Mail, this is because women "have a shorter tract connecting the genital and back passage, meaning potentially harmful bacteria have a shorter distance to travel."

The research also points out that men wear looser fitting underwear compared to women. That can also help prevent sweat and any sort of infection.

Of course, some risks do come along with not changing your underwear every day. Even for men! You can still get jock itch. Skin rashes can also still be common. Climate could also play a part here.

So, what did we learn today? Some men can get away with not changing their underwear every day. These men don't have to worry about any health issues if they keep the same underwear on one day into the next. However, should they do this? I don't know. I like feeling fresh, personally. But it's good to know there's the option.
