Freedom Trail Historic Holiday Strolls Return For 2023
The Freedom Trail Historic Holiday Strolls, a beloved Boston holiday season tradition for years, are back again this year.
Since 1964, The Freedom Trail Foundation has been responsible for protecting and preserving the Freedom Trail. That two-and-a-half mile long red line that winds through Boston, linking over a dozen of the most important historical landmarks not only in Massachusetts history but in U.S. history? The Foundation keeps the paint bright red and spiffy and gets the word out on walks and strolls.
So what of this year’s Holiday Strolls? The press release echoes what you find on the Freedom Trail website: “Led by 19th-century Dickensian costumed guides departing from the Visitor Information Center on Boston Common, the Strolls are complete with a tour of holiday lights and Christmas trees along the Freedom Trail while learning about 19th-century holiday traditions.”

You can purchase tickets here. And when you do, you’ll see a full schedule of when the walks take place, which is Fridays and Saturdays at 3:30 p.m. throughout the holiday season.
