2 New Market Basket Stores Opening in New England, NH Residents Are Ecstatic

Market Basket grocery stores have become a staple in New England. Their large selection of groceries, deli meats, sandwiches and more are a consumer favorite. And the prices? Forget it! Market Basket prices are consistently some of the most competitive around. So you can imagine the delight of NH and Maine residents after finding out two new Market Basket stores were opening near them.

The first new Market Basket store will be opening in North Conway, New Hampshire. According to photos shared to social media, there has been significant progress made in the store. Unfortunately there has been no update as to when it will be open. Fore more  information CLICK HERE.  

And then there is Maine residents. If you live in the area of Topsham, Maine you will be ecstatic to learn a new location is coming. Unfortunately for this particular store, construction is a bit behind the North Conway store. As of July 13th, it looks like they were just getting started with the building. No word when the opening for this location will be but you can keep checking the Market Basket website for more details.

“From the Basket to the Casket.” It’s a catchy saying many in New Hampshire and Massachusetts use to profess their love of Market Basket. Since moving to Waltham, Massachusetts I have fallen in love with Market Basket. And although sometimes I’m a little overwhelmed when walking into the Waltham Market Basket due to the high traffic, I appreciate the cleanliness and overall quality of the store – and I love their prices (sometimes). I have come to understand why Market Basket isn’t just a grocery store, it’s a way of life.

Market Basket is a regional grocery store chain in the United States. Founded in 1917 by Arthur Demoulas, it began as a single store in Massachusetts. Over the years, Market Basket expanded its presence in the Northeast, focusing on offering quality products at affordable prices. The company's history is marked by family disputes over ownership, leading to a significant employee and customer boycott in 2014 to support Arthur T. Demoulas, who was reinstated as CEO. This event emphasized the strong bond between the company, its workers, and its customers. Today, Market Basket continues to serve communities with its customer-centric approach and competitive offerings.

So I decided to put my research hat on and find out which New Hampshire Market Basket locations are most loved by customers and which New Hampshire locations aren’t feeling as much love. I did this by crunching over 73,000 Google reviews. Each Market Basket could score as high as 5.0. I’ll let you know how each scored and how many reviews have come in for each location as well. If the score is a tie, I’ll give the nod to the location that has the most reviews.

At the time of this article a new Market Basket was soon to open in North Conway, NH. That Market Basket obviously isn't on the list below.
