Spring ahead? Though we've officially entered daylight savings, and we are one week from the start of spring, New Englanders are bracing themselves for another winter storm. Heavy rain, snow and high winds are expected in the area starting tonight. It all kicks off with rain starting at 7pm tonight. It will turn into a wet snow by Tuesday morning.

Meteorologist Dave Epstein of Boston.com is reporting that western Massachusetts could see more than a foot of snow, while the greater Boston area is expected to accumulate four to five inches. Though the storm will touch upon portions of three days, it is projected to fade out to sea by Wednesday.

With the potential for high winds reaching gusts of up to 50-60 mph, the National Weather Service has issued an official storm warning. It will remain in effect from this evening through Wednesday morning.

Power outages are expected in high impact areas and we could see some trees down with the potential wind force. Commuters are advised to plan accordingly. Traffic and transportation delays are expected to be heavy throughout the day tomorrow and Wednesday morning.
