Massachusetts Mom Creates At-Home COVID Test Finder
One of the biggest issues over the past few weeks has been trying to locate an at-home rapid test. With many pharmacies and big box stores being sold out, people have been running around trying to find that one store that still has them in stock.
Enter Olivia Adams from Arlington, Massachusetts, a mom and software developer who has taken the problem and created an innovative solution.
“I wanted to create a one-stop shop for saying, ‘Where can I get a COVID test,’ so other people can know and not run to a CVS and be disappointed,” Adams told NBC 10 Boston.
The website, now live at COVIDTestCollab.com, is crowdsourced. People file reports based on the availability of tests at their local pharmacies, and those reports are able to be searched using your zip code, to find the closest stores with tests in stock.
While it may not be 100% accurate, due to the site relying on crowdsourcing, it certainly helps narrow down the stops if you’re searching for a test.
