Wicked Holiday Guide

If ‘Home Alone’ has always been your favorite Christmas movie… this is an opportunity you do not want to miss!

Airbnb announced yesterday that they are offering a one-night-only rental of the famed McCallister family home located in Winnetka, Illinois to celebrate the release of Home Sweet Home Alone, the all-new holiday film streaming now on Disney+. “While the McCallisters are away on their annual trip (all of them but the pet tarantula, this time), four guests will get the opportunity to relive their favorite scenes from the holiday classic and let their inner eight-year-olds run free for the evening without the interruption of pesky intruders,” reads the announcement.

In addition to staying in the home, there will also be a special guest… Kevin’s big brother Buzz McCallister! Buzz will be hosting the one-night stay for up to four guests on December 12th for only $25. “You may not remember me as particularly accommodating,” says Buzz, “but I’ve grown up, and I’d be happy to share my family home – my pizza, even – with you this holiday season. Just try not to let my tarantula, Axl, loose this time.”

During the stay, guests will enjoy plenty of fun throughout the night: a cozy holiday scene with twinkling lights and a perfectly trimmed tree in celebration of the season, all the ‘90s favorites, including plenty of Chicago’s finest pizza and a candlelit dinner of microwavable Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, a meet and greet with a real-life tarantula, a viewing of the film franchise’s newest holiday adventure, Home Sweet Home Alone,  and so much more.

Plus, Airbnb will be making a one-time donation to Chicago’s La Rabida Children’s Hospital, in honor of the first-ever stay at the McCallister home. The hospital is  dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of life for each of its patients with complex conditions, disabilities, and chronic illness.

Booking for this special one-night stay will open on Tuesday, December 7 at 2:00 PM EST at airbnb.com/homealone! See photos from the home below.
